Some days, grief requires us to stand still. Other days, it allows us to keep moving. On Crosby’s birthday, we followed the day whereever it wanted to take us.

We wandered and there he was.

And the city kept us moving forward through years of memories.

We were reminded birthdays are meant to be celebrated.

It’s the little things that kept showing up as if he was walking with us.

Perhaps celebrating with grief gives space for the endless possibilities life still holds for us, if we allow it.
